Kindness
(April 2004-April 2005)

A comprehensive set of social assistance services for at-risk children and families in the rural area of Vidlitsa, in the Olonets area). The project included a series of seminars and support groups for parents on family issues, as well as courses for both parents and young people on health and other issues. Special sessions are offered for handicapped children that address their specific needs. Regular consultations with psychologists, pediatricians, and lawyers are also provided to the families at risk. Kindness also provides daily lunches and weekly food boxes for children from low-income families as part of the project. Finally, the project organizes celebrations, festivals and exhibitions for families in Vidlitsa.
